Tip
Tip: Cast a deep rig by stripping in and mending, not by casting the full leader length
How to do it: Strip the rig in, let fluorocarbon run through the guides, mend to manage line, and let the indicator slide to the bobber stop
Mistake it fixes: Trying to cast 20 to 30 feet of leader as a normal cast
Why it works: A long leader cannot be cast like a normal leader. Stripping and sliding the indicator to the stop delivers the rig without tangling or collapsing the cast.
When it matters most: Stillwater, deep fishing
