Where Light Meets the Wild

Photography, for me, is an extension of how I move through the world. My eyes open, present, and always looking for the story hiding just beneath the surface. Whether I'm knee-deep in a mountain stream at first light or crouched down to catch a dog taking a nap, the pursuit is always the same: find the truth in the moment and hold onto it.

I'm a lifelong outdoorsman with a deep love for the wilderness of Utah, Wyoming, and the American West. The mountains, rivers, and open skies aren't just backdrops — they're characters. Every image I make is a collaboration between light, landscape, and the living things within it.

People and their animals hold a special place in my work. There's something unmistakably honest about the bond between a person and their pet, and I love nothing more than freezing that connection in a single frame.

I shoot with a Sony A7 IV and iPhone, full-frame resolution when the moment calls for it, and pure spontaneity when it doesn't. The gear changes; the intention never does.

Enjoy ~CB
