Tip
Tip: Use the heavier fluorocarbon section for the sliding bobber stop and for passing through guides, to avoid grooving a rod tip and curling monofilament
How to do it: Run the bobber stop on heavier fluorocarbon, not on mono, so it passes guides cleanly without grooving or curling
Mistake it fixes: Running a bobber stop on monofilament through guides
Why it works: Mono curls when a stop is repeatedly moved on it, and can groove a tip. Heavier fluorocarbon resists both, preserving casting and depth control.
When it matters most: Stillwater, indicator fishing
