- Description
- Orange Asher Dry Fly: A simple classic midge dry fly credited to Jack Howarth of Colorado and developed in the 1970s as an adult midge imitation for high-mountain lakes
- Effective Midge Imitation: Accurately represents adult midges and small dark insects that trout feed on, particularly during midge activity in cooler weather
- Premium Traditional Construction: Hand-tied with an orange body and quality grizzly hackle for a realistic silhouette and reliable flotation in small sizes
- Versatile Cool-Season Pattern: Performs well on stillwaters, tailwaters, and freestone streams during midge hatches, especially in late fall, winter, and early spring; highly effective for brown, rainbow, and brook trout
- Reliable Searching Dry Fly: A time-tested, easy-to-tie pattern that remains a solid choice when trout are feeding on small insects near the surface in low-light or cooler conditions
