Lance Egan's name is synonymous with innovation and mastery in fly fishing. As an accomplished angler and influential figure, his contributions have significantly shaped contemporary technique and strategy.

Lance is local to Salt Lake City, Utah — right down the road from my Park City home — and has become a staple name in the area. I've had the good fortune not only to meet and get to know him, but to attend numerous events he's held, from modern nymphing classes to fly tying overviews.

One thing I've always respected is his ability to stay human, to interact and share anything and everything without holding back. He has an excellent way of promoting the sport from a free-flow-of-information standpoint.
